Changing Places is a voluntary initiative that advocates for public toilets with change tables and hoists in major public spaces across Australia to meet the needs of people with severe and profound disabilities.
Changing Places create destinations
CODE Access is the most experienced Access Consultancy with Changing Places in WA and recently developed the “Changing Places Toolkit” for WALGA.
Gary Cox is the currently the only Registered Changing Places Assessor in WA.
We are proud to be involved with the accreditation of over 17 facilities in Western Australia to-date with the latest being Kings Park and Rottnest Island.
A Changing Place is a safe clean facility that provides a peninsular toilet pan to accommodate assistance at both sides from carers, fixed ceiling hoist and height adjustable fixed adult change table.
Changing Places facilities provide destinations for those who have special needs and we hope this initiative provides many more destinations throughout WA and Australia.
