A practical approach to Accessibility
CODE Access are a team of Access Consultants who offer useful, practical and informative advice on design and the built form to assist people with disabilities to negotiate the built environment.
We are built-form Access Consultants
We understand the origins of Australian disability access legislation and are aware of legislation and changes in other modern countries.
Disability access is particularly important for public infrastructure, community facilities, meeting places, parkland and private commercial development and the built environment in general. Aged Care, respite and special needs accommodation and private aging-in-place developments benefit from early disability access advice and guidance.
We have been successfully working with government, city planners, architects, designers, developers and the access advocates to create a more accessible built environment.

Benefits of Community Access & Inclusion
Creating accessible environments enables participation & inclusion for all members of the community when accessing buildings, services, information and public events.
If the built environment is accessible, usable, convenient and a pleasure to use, everyone will benefit.
Organisations have a responsibility under the federal Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA), to provide dignified and equitable access to their premises, goods and services that are used by the public and employees.
Accessibility through good design is a hallmark of a modern building and will attract shoppers, visitors, employees and residents.
